Standford University podcast

The issue is getting ahead in school and how we are creating a generation of stressed out materialistic students. Students engaging in productive activities in school not just for a grade, but because they want to because they love it.
Students always are going to have a hidden agenda when it comes to school. And it al depends on motivation, what motivate a student to perform well in school.
The answer is not that simple. It depends on the student. One may feel the need to get out of a bad situation, like the environment at home, others may do well because they are athletes, and have to make good grade to stay on the team.
However, motivation can make a person do bad things, if they do not like school, they may be motivated to act out or disrupt class.
